Samuel's first Birthday

Yes I'm late in posting... Monday, May 25th, was Samuel's first Birthday. We went over to Aubrey's and had fun. Samuel was so cute and loved all of the attention he was getting.

I forgot how to flip a picture.. Samuel's daddy and Uncles built this for him. He immediately knocked it down. Such a boy...
What a mess!!! Samuel had cake EVERYWHERE.!! I gave him a little Mohawk and then we wiped the cake off as good as we could and stuck him in the bathtub. All in all it was a very enjoyable day with my grandson.

trials and tribulations

Ever have one of those days where you wonder what's up and what's down? Today is one of those days! I have a headache, slight vertigo, my neck is out of place and I'm really not up to my usual jovial self. It's just a blah kind of a day. I really don' t like these days. It ruins my whole day.I really like this picture. Not that it's a good pic of me, but it reminds me of the message Aubrey and I got that day. Oh how I could go for that message right now. It was so soothing and relaxing. That's what I need right now. "sigh"This picture reminds me of tranquility and peace of mind. "heavy sigh" okay, I'm going to go and put an ice pack on my neck and dream of what tomorrow will be like for my little Boo Boo Bear's first birthday. Until then. "Au Revoir" and Adios.

Mark Harmon's Allstar Game

Last Saturday David, KeLei and I along with Aubrey, Carlin and Samuel went to Bricktown ballpark and watch Mark Harmon play in the Allstar baseball game. For those of you who don't know who Mark Harmon is he plays Gibbs on NCISR. He is really good looken and I've loved watching him ever since the 70's. When we had a chance to go see him we took advantage of the good weather last weekend and went to Bricktown. He was really fun to watch and we had a good time being with Aubrey and her family. Samuel was a riot and had fun with the mascots and the people who sat two rows ahead of us. Here are a couple of pictures and videos of our great weekend.

This was as close as I could get to him. They kept cutting the line so I never got his autograph.
This statue was a guy who would move around whenever someone took a picture with him. It was fun to watch people's reactions. I have some videos of Samuel and the game but I haven't figured out how to get to them yet. It was an awesome day and we had a lot of fun.

Happy Mother's Day!

My Mother has always been there for me. Through the good times and bad. Sometimes we haven't seen eye to eye, but she is my mother and I love her to pieces. I don't know what I would do without her. She doesn't like to take pictures much because the medication she is on makes her gain weight, but hey, if I look that good when I'm her age I will be happy. I love playing cards with her, talking on the phone on Wednesday nights when everyone is at church, and laughing at the stupid things we do when we get together.Yes she is my mom and the grandmother to my children. Love you mom, Thanks for being YOU.

I'm really going to do it! Really I am!

I'm going to work out on my treadmill..... really I am! I will lose 40 pounds, wouldn't that be great.

I'm going to de-clutter the house....really I am! It will look a lot better when there is not so much to trip over.

I'm going to renovate the upstairs.....really I am! I want to put new carpet and flooring up there. I would like to have a nice sitting area in the loft.

I'm going to cook better....really I am! We need to stop eating out.

I'm really going to do these things......really I am......TOMORROW!!

Where's Summer?

Okay, Someone took my warm weather and hid it. I can't seem to find it anywhere! I wake up every morning expecting to feel warmth but instead it's cold. It is May isn't it??? I mean, I didn't mess up the calendar did I? I think someone has fooled Mother Nature and she is very confused. One day it is really nice and the next day it is cold. go figure!! You see Mother Nature peeks her head out from time to time, but get's confused a lot. I think we should coax her out and let her know we miss the warmth and sunshine.
There you see all it takes is a little optimism from the right crowd. I think you should try it too. Tell Mother Nature you miss her warm smile and maybe, just maybe, we will get her smiling face back.
