 This night was an Orchestra fund raiser.

The kids play downtown and people

drop money into a bucket

 My daughter in the blue

and her friend playing the violin.

The piece they are playing is from

Slum Dog Millionaire.

I love the atmosphere and the people.

This is my town, and I love it.

Half a century old....

Today I turn a new chapter in my life.

I am now officially half a century old.

My co-workers decorated my office

for me. Are they sweet or what??!!

Blush of Dawn

Water lily at dawn

In the blush of dawn, when the gentle winds tease,

The water lily trembles in the breeze,

In expectant silence and frantic calm,

She pensively awaits the kiss of morn.

Awash with the trill of love,

Shudders the lily in the pond,

She seem to freeze and then daintily sway,

Her every move her thoughts betray!

Cats are Wonderful Friends

Gentle eyes that see so much,
paws that have the quiet touch,
Purrs to signal "all is well"
and show more love than words could tell.
Graceful movements touched with pride,
a calming presence by our side -
A friendship that takes time to grow -
Small wonder why we love them so.
