It's Hot

It's going to be a VERY HOT WEEK!
I'm not looking forward to it!
I usually go walking during my lunch break,
but with temps like these, I don't know.
Hope your week is cooler than mine.

I'm so tired

Here I sit at work

and I am sooooooo TIRED.

I've got up and walked around.

I got a cold drink of water,

I've done everything and I can't

seem to get out of this sleepy slump.

My Son called from Afghanistan last night,

it had been a while since we had

heard from him. It was good to hear

his voice and know he got there safely.

He says everything is very dirty...as in

dirt flies every where anywhere you go!

Nothing like a little grit mixed in your food!

My grandson almost got hit by a delivery truck.

Little stinker, was throwing a fit in the parking lot

of his pre-school and decided to run off and sit in

the middle of the road. Thank goodness the truck

driver saw my daughter run over to him to grab him.

He is going to summer school for the hard of hearing.

I think he heard his momma screaming at him!!!

Okay, that helped a little, talking I mean,

But I'm still tired. Thank goodness work

is almost over. I'm going to bed early tonight.

Unless my son calls again.... :)

Now I lay me down to Sleep

It's been a fun day with the grandkids!
They are so funny to watch and play.

Heard from my son overseas!
Always nice.

The house is a mess...
and I really don't care.
There's always tomorrow.
I think I have broken a record
for the number of post in one day!
Whooo Hooo.

But now it's time for bed.
Reminds me of my prayers when
I was younger.
Now I lay me down to sleep
I Pray the Lord my Soul to Keep.

Water Lilly

It's my Life!

have you ever wondered what your plot in
life is? I mean, I know why I am here
and all of that stuff. But sometimes I
wonder what's it all about?
What's my niche in life?

I love my children. I have two
beautiful grandchildren, and a
husband that loves me.

But sometimes I wonder what is it
that I'm doing with my life?
I'm reminded of a song by Bon Jovi

It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just wanna live while I'm alive

I guess that's it, I just wanna live,
while I'm alive. Who knows what
the future holds. but I know I'll
have my husband by my side.
I guess that's all that really matters!

Flowers are the music of the ground

From earth's lips spoken without sound.

My Flowers

These are my flowers!
I received them last night
at the botanical opening where
my husband works!

Aren't they just beautiful!!
and They are all mine!
I love them, you should smell
them. The aroma is to die for.

I mean it...literally to die for!
That is why I had to put them outside!
They were killing me this morning. :(
My nose was dripping and I was sneezing!
I put them on my back porch so I can look
out the window and enjoy them.
Darn these allergies!
Oh well, I thought I would let you enjoy
them too! (scratch and sniff) :)

sweet face w/ a gray mustache

I was looking through
my pictures and found
some of our cat named
Buddy.

He was such a beauty.
He loved to curl up with
you when your were laying
down. He was always there
to help out when you
weren't feeling well.

For two days I could not find
him. Then I looked in his favorite
place among the flowers and there
he was crouched down. I knew then
that something wasn't right. After
taking him to the vet, we had found
out that among other things, his
kidneys had failed.
I sit here and cry
still remembering
what I went through looking into
his eyes begging for forgiveness
for having to put him down.
That was two years ago
and sometimes as I look through
our pictures, I find myself missing
him and remember his sweet face
with a gray mustache.

Slender Colors

Long and slender
so graceful in flight,
Oh what a beautiful
wonder of the sight.

Many tones of colors
various sizes too,
From the small green Noble
to the big Hyacinthie blue.
